The Makita 18V X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36V) Brushless cordless 1/2 gallon HEPA filter backpack dry vacuum kit is a powerful, portable, and cordless clean-up solution. It eliminates the need for extension cords that are typically associated with corded backpack vacuums. Not only is it powerful and portable, but it also serves as a dust extraction solution for contractors, bridging the gap between low-capacity on-board dust extraction systems and larger capacity wheeled canister job site vacuums that are less portable.

The backpack dry vacuum kit is designed for cleaning crews and construction applications as part of a dust extraction system. It is powered by two 18V Lithium-Ion batteries, providing 36V power and performance without having to leave the 18V LXT battery platform. The efficient BL Brushless motor generates 70 CFM of suction and 44” of static water lift for fast clean-ups and improved dust extraction, all without the hassle of a cord.

This backpack dry vacuum is lightweight at only 9.9 lbs. with padded shoulder straps and a waist belt that can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. The push button power selection controller attaches to the waist belt for convenient operation, and the 39” flexible hose has a telescoping extension wand to provide additional reach. Additionally, the efficient HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns and larger, extending the life of the main filter. The half-gallon dust collection container is easily removed for dust disposal.

With two 18V 5.0Ah batteries, users can enjoy up to 90 minutes of continuous operation on the low setting and 60 minutes on the high setting. The tool is part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, which is powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. These batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, allowing for more time working and less time waiting for a charge. Makita's Star protection Computer controls improve tool performance and extend battery life by monitoring conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.

For added versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol, indicating the presence of Star protection inside. The powerful BL Brushless motor generates 70 CFM of suction power and 44" Of water Lift with up to 116 minutes of continuous operation on the normal setting and 33 minutes on the Max setting using two 18V LXT 5.0Ah batteries BL1850B (batteries not included). Additionally, the efficient two-stage HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particulates 0.3 microns and larger, extending the life of the main filter. The BL Brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. The vacuum also features a convenient and easy to replace disposable filter dust bag.
