Makita's XPS01PTJ 18V X2 (36V) LXT Brushless 6-1/2” plunge Circular saw kit offers precise and accurate cutting when used with a guide rail system (sold separately). By combining the saw and rail system, users can produce clean cuts with minimal tear-out. The saw features a powerful Makita-built Brushless motor powered by two 18V LXT batteries with automatic speed Change technology, adjusting cutting speed and torque for optimal performance.

With a variable speed control dial (2,500 – 6,300 RPM), soft start, and an Electric brake, the saw has a 2-3/16” cutting capacity at 90 degrees, along with a bevel capability of -1° to 48° and positive stops at 22.5° and 45°. When used with a rail system (sold separately), the plunge Circular saw is a portable alternative to a Table saw for certain applications, making it suitable for use on job sites or in workshops. The kit includes two 18V LXT 5.0Ah batteries, each fully charging in just 45 minutes with the Rapid Optimum Charger – the fastest charge time in the category.

The batteries also feature an integrated L.E.D. Battery charge level indicator and are part of Makita’s 18V Lithium-Ion system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, providing more working time and less time on the charger. To improve tool performance and extend battery life, Makita included Star protection Computer controls, a communication technology that allows the tool and battery to exchange data and monitor conditions in real time.

The tool is also compatible with Makita 18V LXT and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol on the battery indicating Star protection inside. Powered by two LXT batteries, the x2 LXT technology offers more power, speed, and run time without the hassles of a cord. Additionally, Makita's electronically controlled BL Brushless motor delivers 6,300 RPM for maximum performance and 50% longer run time per charge. The tool also boasts automatic speed change technology for adjusting cutting speed and torque, as well as a variable speed control dial (2,500 - 6,300 RPM) for optimum performance in various materials. Lastly, the saw supports close to the wall cutting (11/16") for expanded cutting applications.
