Makita XTR01Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Router

The 18V Brushless Compact Router (model XTR01T7, tool only, batteries and charger sold separately) combines the power of corded tools with the convenience of cordless operation. With its efficient Makita BL Brushless Motor, this 18V LXT Router offers up to 50% longer run time, increased power and speed, and a longer tool life. It is compatible with Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries (sold separately) and is designed for a full range of cabinetry and woodworking applications.

This router features a variable speed control dial (10,000 – 30,000 RPM) to match the speed to the application, with electronic speed control to maintain constant speed under load and a soft start feature for smoother startups and better accuracy. Convenience features include a smooth rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment system for precise settings, dual L.E.D. lights to illuminate the work surface, and a quick release cam lock system for convenient depth adjustments and base removal/installation. Additional bases and attachments are available (sold separately), and for users of corded Makita Compact Routers (models RT0700C, RT0701C), the bases used with these corded routers are fully compatible with the XTR01Z. The XTR01Z easily connects to Makita vacuum cleaners with the optional dust nozzle for improved dust extraction.

The 18V Brushless Compact Router is part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries with the fastest charge times in their categories. Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries also feature Star Protection Computer Controls, communication technology that allows the tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and over-heating, the Makita built Brushless motor delivers faster and more accurate cuts in a variety of materials. The electronically controlled BL Brushless motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and RPM to the changing demands of the application, and the on/off button with a separate lock button helps prevent accidental startup of the tool for user and work piece protection.
